Who We Are

Abbey

Mama to a growing flock, and wife to a hardworking businessman. A real-food loving, tea sipping, saved by grace, eager student of life. I have a weakness for handmade/homemade love. Our dream is to live a self sufficient lifestyle by homesteading our own lot of land on God's green earth. But today I'm learning to make that happen in a tiny two bedroom apartment, with the focus of "growing where you're planted". I hope you'll join me as I learn from the ground up and strive for a sustainable lifestyle!

Alyssa

I am a 22 year young, craft loving stay at home mother of two lovely littles (3 year old son and a 4 month old daughter).Coming from a dysfunctional family my life has always been anything but stable until my astounding husband came along. A well rounded man who keeps me grounded. We share a passion for living off of Gods green land, striving for a life of simplicity and self-sufficiency.

Heather

I'm a 25 year old, working full time in the corporate world as a web and graphic designer. I married into a cattle-ranching, dry-land farming family. I have gone from living in the country, farming, raising cattle, chickens, rabbits, pigs, and goats; to living in the city (on half an acre) farming, and raising chickens. We raised our own meat and lived the simple life. Now living in the city, we are working to get back to simplicity and self-sufficientcy. I love baking, knitting, sewing, canning, and making my own wellness and beauty products.

Meg

I'm a suburban-living homeschooling mama of four boys with a passion for all things old-fashioned and a love for feeding people. We currently homestead by growing our own produce and raising chickens and rabbits in our small backyard, but hope to move to a large piece of land in the future. I own a small natural soap & skin care business, love to bake and "put up" food, knit, sew and enjoy simple living and the self-sufficient lifestyle.

Rachel

I'm a 22 year old stay at home mother of twin girls with a photography business on the side. We currently live in an apartment, but I'm determined to find ways around it to be more homesteading friendly until we can move to an area with land. I have a love for baking, crocheting, simplified home living and I look forward to expanding my skill set to live a more self-sufficient life.
